Busy as a Beaver...

So right now I am busy as a beaver, doing homework for all of my classes and working towards my final review which is on wednesday... here is a preview of what I have been working on:

just some initial perspectives and section that I am working on, more details about the project later.

I am also finishing an analysis of the West Fenway and Kenmore Square areas of Boston and will put my final boards up later. I think this will be a good way of documenting my work and looking back and remembering all that I have done. I cannot believe that there is only 1.5 weeks left until I am done with college! CRAZY!

I know I have been OVERLY obsessed with weddings lately, but it seems thats all me and Lex talk about...ever since we decided to be 'event architects' it has been stuck in our minds ( nevermind the fact that we both REALLY want to get married too, lol).

Here is a board that Lex made for her wedding:

And here is mine, the colors are obvious lolol:

I have so much to do but I will leave with some bedroom inspiration in what other color but my favorites:

Movies, BFF's and Cakes ...

So this weekend was fun, on Friday night, Kate, Lex and I went to see "The ugly truth". It was a good movie, very funny and who can resist Gerard Butler??

Saturday I had a Packing Party, (basically my friends came over to help me pack up the whole bedroom and move it into the living room, lol). But the day was fun and we had pigs in a blanket and mozzarella sticks, yumm!

Then, later in the day we were feeling old and we decided we should get our lazy butts up and go have fun, so we went to quincy market , grabbed a bite to eat and then went to our new favorite bar, The Landing. It's got good drinks for cheap, good music and its right on the waterfront...what's not to like?!

We had fun, and today we went to breakfast, grabbed some coffee and went back to do some homework. What actually happened was I spent some time with the BFFs and watched the "Sex and the City" movie. Some work might or might not have gotten done, and then I went home to be with my hunny. We are sitting here watching 'amazing wedding cakes now, so i thought i would share my picks for a wedding cake:

Ok, its bed time for me, I have an early morning and a week FULL of due dates and deadlines....ahhh.

Architecture: Friend or Foe

As Cassie's college friend, we have experienced quite alot together over the course of four years.  Presently, we're in our Profession Practice Lecture listening to how and why architect's do and say certain things; a course we should have taken undoubtedly two years ago.  I feel like I'm on a funny farm trying to make sense of the weirdos we go to school with and missing the tri-state every minute of every day.  With only 4 weeks to go, we're on a fast track, to what, I'm still not sure, haha.

On a lighter note, I was walking through the Prudential Mall and I came across a store I have seen before, Denim.  This store carries high name brand jeans like rock&republic and true religion for 50-70% off. Those bastards told me two weeks ago that they are only a temporary store and don't receive new shipments, when clearly I saw them stocking shelves yesterday.

Warm Regards,
A bitter, jean-less architect.

Going crazy.....

I am sitting in a lecture hall, trying not to go crazy...the people in this lecture don't know what they are doing or saying, and it is so frustrating to get any information from them for my project.
Anyways, I thought I would put some pictures up of the studio that I prectically live in...this is where i spend all of my time...

Here is our 'crit' room
(where we put all of our work up on the wall and get feedback, good or bad...)

Here is 'my' wall, of work that I've done to give some sort of inspiration....

More studio...

It really has been a stressful et fun 4 years, it really flew by and in 4 weeks, I will be done with classes!!!!!Ahhhhh

OK , so I forgot to put up some pics of my bathroom with my new coordinating towels (thanks mom)!!
our bathroom as you walk in...

the new hand towels mom got us... and the painting of a sailboat above the towels was from steves childhood room.

My new display, of corse with steve in the house it will last all of 10 minutes...

our pillows made a transition from the bed to the sofa...i think they pop and add something to the room. Of corse now the painting above the sofa doesn't match...hmm have to fix that...

This is the dress that I am thinking about wearing to graduation. Im not sure if it will be a good choice or not....

And here are some earrings that I worked on today...love the color combo!!!

Ok, back to work, but me and steve are snuggled on the couch watching Ms. Pettigrew lives for a day...love the classic 20's style and amazing decor!!

New Bedding...

OK, so I haven't been keeping up the way I want to, but school has been so busy and I'm running a roller-coaster of a ride for my last semester of college. I have been sending out resumes with little response or the always dreaded "we have  a hiring freeze in our office". But I am keeping faith and my and the hunnie are still proceeding with moving to peabody on august 31 (I'll post about that later).

In other news...I have been trying to take advantage of Boston while i am still here living in the city. Not far from our apartment in Brookline is this great farmers market that I took my BFF Kate to the other day...

It was in a parking lot, which was cool…

Kate and I, about to hunt for bargains…

Some of my goodies...(homemade granola, fresh zucchini, green bean pods, and smoked gouda cheese)

Mom and CJ and Oscar came to visit for the july 4th weekend, so that was super fun and mom put her touch on the apartment by cleaning the kitchen sink and  bathroom (the kitchen sink is a porcelain, which is hard to clean) Thanks mom!!

After they left, she called me so excited because she bought us new bedding to thank us for the weekend...

It is an awesome quilt with lovely sand-dollars embroidered in teal...

The center pillow I made for Steve the summer after my first year of college...

This morning, after an amazing night of sleep...

Ahh thats better...

And this is us this morning, right after breakfast of chocolate chip pancakes...

MOM, THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE BEDDING! WE LOVE IT AND IT ADDS SO MUCH TO OUR BEDROOM!
